the direction arrows to the EVA airlock. 
When you get there, you enter and 
edge around the large, gold, lunar buggy in the 
middle. Behind it are two airlock doors, a smaller 
one for crew and a larger one for the buggy. There’s 
a key-pad on the wall to the right of each. You hear 
steps behind you and turn with fear, only to see 
Kiran walk in. 
“Hey, ready to suit up?”
“Uh, sure,” you reply. On the left of the bay there is 
a rack with suits hanging, next to a set of charging 
stations holding the suit power packs. Below 
the suits are storage lockers labelled “tool kits”. 
Checking your notes, you select the smallest suit 
and take it off the rack, dropping it with a yelp.
“Woah, this is HEAVY,” you say to Kiran, and they 
help you to lift it onto a bench behind you. You 
find a fully charged power pack and plug it into the 
life support module on the back of the suit. The 
module powers up with a hum.
and breathe deeply. Everything you do makes 
heat, uses up oxygen and produces carbon dioxide. 
Move steadily and don’t rush, ok?”
“Have you ever done a spacewalk? What was it 
like?” you ask hesitantly.
“It was amazing, breathtaking, terrifying, hot and 
sweaty. I LOVED it! You got this, kiddo,” she finishes, 
and you wish you had even half her confidence.
Sasha jumps back on the line.
“You good?” she asks.
“Yeah, think so. Scared…excited. Like before my 
first scuba dive.”
“You’ll need help to suit up. Devon is still figuring 
out exactly what you need to do, but it’s going to 
involve repairing the transmitter, so you’ll need to 
grab a toolkit from the airlock stores. Kiran is closest 
in the Astrolab. I’ll get them to meet you at the EVA 
airlock,” she said, dropping off the line.
