But you’re not finished! At the end of Chapter 3, 
you have a decision to make. You will be given two 
options. You should all discuss it together and vote 
on what to do. Then you can read the ending you 
picked.
If you are reading alone, or with fewer than 5 of 
you, you can choose to read it in order; Chapter 1, 
2, 3, by picking just one character, and then going 
back to read the others afterwards. Or you can 
choose to read all the Chapter 2s before going to 
Chapter 3. It is up to you.

How to read 
this book
Thank you for picking up this short story. We 
hope you are going to enjoy it. You can read it by 
yourself, but it has also been created so that you 
can share the experience with your friends. You 
should all read Chapter 1 together. Then you each 
need to pick one of the characters that you will 
find at the start of Chapter 2. If there are more than 
five of you, you can double up on the reading but 
make sure that you have all five characters covered. 
You may also notice that we have not given much 
description of the characters, because we want you 
to imagine yourself doing that role.
Then, read your own version of Chapter 2. After 
that, each of you will be holding a piece of the 
story, and you can read Chapter 3 together. This will 
show you, through the eyes of Sasha (the mission 
controller), how all your stories linked together and 
what was really happening.
