68 69 “Yep, we have a solution,” you reply. “OK, patching you through,” replies Sasha. “Hey Kamari, are you ready?” you ask. “Yeah…I think so. What do you need me to do?” they respond. “We need to replace a broken antenna on the main communications transmitter with one from the buggy transmitter. They aren’t quite the same, but we’ve figured out how to bodge it. Get out there and I’ll tell you what to do. You’ll need a tool kit,” you reply. Following your carefully crafted script, you guide Kamari through the steps of removing he antenna from the smaller transmitter, forcefully removing the damaged antenna from the main transmitter, and with short, meticulous instruction you get them to fit that square peg into a round hole. “I think I am done,” Kamari tells you. “Great! Step back and I will power the transmitter say confidently. “The what with the what and the what?” replies Antonio. “Congratulations Devon, you just got me to melt the antenna.” “But – you KNOW what I mean!” You nearly shout at him in frustration. You have done everything so perfectly up until now. YOU don’t get things wrong. “Ah, so much of a professional engineer’s job is explaining to people who have no clue about engineering. It seems there is still one skill you need to work on – communication. It’s ok, I’ll give you some pointers,” he replies. Between you both, you work out a script to guide Kamari through the process. “OK, we’re ready, and…” Antonio is once again interrupted. “How’s it going Devon? Kamari is ready to step out of the airlock, shall I connect you to their in-suit system?” you hear Sasha on the console.
