a chocolate bar, savouring that first, 
victorious bite. You had almost forgotten 
about the spacecraft and the zombie crew, 
until you catch sight of the small pool of blood 
on the floor again.
“Antonio, we…we are going to be ok, aren’t we?” 
you ask, your voice sounding smaller than you 
expected. There is a pause.
“I hope so, Devon, I really hope so,” he replies.
Now, go to page 87, where Chapter 3 
will show you, through the eyes of Sasha 
(the mission controller), how your story 
has fitted in with the others.
 
back up.” You bring up the command box and 
reboot the transmitter. Then you run the systems 
check again, exclaiming when everything comes 
back as “online”.
“Yes! We got it! It’s working,” you excitedly shout. 
You tell Sasha that the transmitter is operational 
and can once again be controlled from lunar 
mission control.
“Well done, Devon,” you hear Antonio say.
You smile and go to sit down.
“Hey, you might want to check in the drawers 
under the console,” he continues. Intrigued, you 
pull open the top drawer and a huge smile erupts 
on your face as you discover it is crammed full of 
chocolate, crisps and energy bars.
“How did you know these would be here? Can I 
have one?” you ask.
“Of course you can, and an engineer always has 
snacks on hand,” replies Antonio. You hear the 
distinctive crunch of crisps being eaten
